Charming, multilingual, and talented are words often used to describe Jean Bugatti, born 113 years ago this week. Jean’s legacy and influence on the automotive world remain strong.

Jean’s masterpiece is the Type 57 SC Atlantic, the most expensive collector’s car in the world. Only four of this coupe with flowing forms and a unique riveted fin, sitting almost flush to the road beneath it, were ever built. One of them, an all-black Atlantic disappeared in WWII and served as a role model for BUGATTI’s LA VOITURE NOIRE presented 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show and completed and delivered two years later to its proud owner.
